Job summary

Cox Fleet, a leader in on-site mobile fleet maintenance, is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II. You will perform PMs, DOT inspections, and light-to-heavy repairs in field environments, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems and documenting through the TRAIT app.

The role emphasizes safety, compliance, and independent scheduling, with opportunities to advance through skilled training and performance-based career paths.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years related experience.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT medical/physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections and follow up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and transmission systems; test with instruments.
• Inspect, document, and communicate findings using company systems and TRAIT app.
• Manage parts inventory, obtain approvals on estimates, and coordinate with management.
• Maintain safety standards and comply with OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
