Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform PMs, DOT inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of trucks and trailers in a mobile and on-site setting. You will manage the service truck inventory and document work using our TRAIT app.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED, 3–5 years in a related field, ASE T8 certification within 18 months, and a valid driver’s license with DOT background checks. Competitive weekly pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years’ related field experience, or 5 years’ related field experience.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months of hire.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass DOT/pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair truck systems including electrical, braking, cooling, engines, transmissions, and HVAC as needed.
• Inspect, test, and road test vehicles to ensure proper operation and safety.
• Manage parts inventory and operate the company service truck, including safety checks and RO documentation.
