Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, scheduled PMs, light and follow-up repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical and mechanical systems, manage parts on the service truck, and ensure safe operation through road tests.

You will work under supervision for advanced tasks, aiming to meet high performance metrics while following all DOT and safety regulations. Training and a strong tool-set are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent) and related field experience.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Possession of own hand tools to perform required duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and transmission systems.
• Inspect, test, and listen to equipment using diagnostic tools and handheld devices.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and proper operation.
• Maintain and manage parts inventory on company service truck and reconcile regularly.
