Job summary

Cox Fleet in Los Angeles is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light repairs in a mobile setting. You will diagnose electrical and mechanical systems, test road performance, and document findings using our TRAIT app on an iOS device.

The role requires HS diploma or GED with 3 years in the field, ASE T8 within 18 months, and the ability to pass a DOT physical and background screening. Weekly pay and full benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with related field experience or an equivalent combination.
• Valid DOT/FMCSA compliance and ability to pass background screening.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months or after hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on mobile/field vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Road test vehicles and document findings with RO in TRAIT app.
• Maintain service truck, manage parts inventory, and coordinate with customers.
