Job summary

CoxFleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs in client field environments. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, test components, and complete Repair Orders using TRAIT on an iOS device.

The role requires a HS Diploma or GED with related field experience, ASE T8 certification within 18 months, a valid DOT background and medical card, and a Class C license. Weekly pay and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with related field experience or equivalent years of experience.
• Must own a set of hand tools required for the job.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months is required or in progress.
• Compliance with DOT/FMCSA background check and DOT physical.
• Valid driver’s license and 21+ years old; Class C license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections, and repairs in mobile/field settings.
• Handle light–to–heavy repairs on electrical, fuel, brakes, cooling and engine systems.
• Diagnose issues and perform tests using handheld devices and gauges.
• Road test vehicles and document findings on RO via TRAIT app.
• Order parts from approved vendors and manage inventory on truck.
• Maintain safety, OSHA/EPA/DOT compliance and company policies.
• Communicate with customers to assess needs and provide options.
• Complete DOT forms accurately and on time.
