Cox Automotive - USA is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II (DOT) to service light, medium, and heavy trucks in a mobile/field setting. You will perform licensed DOT inspections, PMs, and advanced diagnostics, often leading on jobsites and consulting with customers.

This role emphasizes independent scheduling, safety compliance, and effective communication, with a flexible remote option for qualified candidates in the region.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years’ related field experience, or 5 years’ related experience.
• At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Own a set of hand tools necessary to perform duties.
• OEM training and certifications are preferred.
• DOT regulatory pre-employment background screening and DOT physical required.
• Must be 21+ and hold a valid driver's license.

Aufgaben

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, DOT inspections and follow up repairs on light, medium and heavy‑duty vehicles in a mobile environment.
• Diagnose, adjust and repair electrical/braking/cooling systems, engines, transmissions and other truck equipment.
• Inspect and test equipment using handheld instruments and diagnose malfunctions.
• Road test vehicles to ensure proper operation after repairs.
• Manage parts inventory and service truck tools; maintain safety checks and pre/post‑trip inspections.
• Document work and upload RO details via TRAIT app on iOS; complete DOT forms promptly.
• Communicate with customers to assess needs, discuss estimates, and obtain approvals.
• Maintain high productivity and work within standard repair times.
