Job summary

Cox Fleet, part of Cox Automotive, seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced repairs for light, medium, and heavy trucks in a mobile environment.

You will diagnose electrical, cooling, and engine systems, manage parts on a service truck, and ensure compliance with DOT and company safety standards. Opportunities for growth and on-site training are available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years of related field experience, or 5 years in related field.
• At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Must supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties.
• DOT/FMCSA regulated pre-employment background checks and DOT physical where required.
• ASE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs in mobile/field environments.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems on trucks and trailers.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and ensure safe operation.
• Document work orders, parts used, and findings using iOS TRAIT app.
• Coordinate with management for approvals on estimates and RO notes.
