Job summary

Cox Automotive - USA is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light to moderate repairs in a mobile environment. This role requires independent scheduling, adherence to safety protocols, and strong diagnostic skills.

You will work in a fast-paced field setting, maintain a company service vehicle, and document all activities using the TRAIT system on an iOS device.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required, plus several years in a related field.
• Must possess a basic set of hand tools.
• DOT pre-employment/physical and DOT regulations knowledge.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems in trucks.
• Record findings and upload photos to RO via company app and iOS device.
• Communicate with management for approvals on estimates and parts orders.
• Maintain service truck and manage parts inventory for daily repairs.
• Ensure all work complies with OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
