Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a mobile/field basis. You will lead on-site service for light, medium and heavy-duty trucks, coordinating parts and communicating with customers to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The role requires independent scheduling, adherence to safety policies, and ability to accept varying work sites with a focus on rapid problem solving and strong customer

Qualifications

• Licensed DOT inspections and PM inspections experience.
• Diagnose and repair heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
• Strong diagnostic and triage skills for complex repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine and transmission systems.
• Document work performed and parts used in the RO using company-issued devices.
