Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs for fleet customers in a mobile/field setting. You will act as a lead on sites, diagnosing advanced systems and coordinating with clients and technicians.

The role requires DOT compliance, ASE certifications preferred, and a valid driver’s license. The position offers a remote work option within the USA and competitive hourly pay with opportunity for incentives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 3 years’ related field experience or 5 years in lieu.
• At least 3 years’ experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Owns and supplies a set of hand tools; DOT/FMCSA compliance required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections, and repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles.
• Diagnose, repair, and test electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Inspect and road-test vehicles; document findings and RO updates on TRAIT app.
• Manage parts inventory on company service truck; coordinate with customers.
• Complete DOT forms accurately; maintain safety and compliance standards.
