Job summary

Cox Automotive is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and complex repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems on light to heavy-duty trucks and manage parts on a company service truck.

The role requires DOT knowledge, hands-on diagnostic skills, and the ability to work remotely while residing in the specified city/region.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with relevant field experience.
• DOT regulations knowledge and ability to pass pre-employment screenings.
• 3+ years of related field experience; ASE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and repairs in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems on trucks and trailers.
• Inspect and test equipment; road test vehicles to verify repairs and functionality.
• Manage parts inventory and document work using iOS TRAIT app.
• Ensure safety, OSHA, EPA, and DOT compliance in all tasks.
