Job summary

Cox Automotive’s CoxFleet division is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light to medium repairs in a mobile field setting across the United States. Expect to diagnose electrical and mechanical systems, manage parts on a service truck, and document findings using TRAIT on an iOS device.

The role requires high school level education with relevant experience, a valid DOT-related certification window, and a safety-conscious approach.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with related field experience or equivalent.
• Experience performing DOT inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Ability to diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections, and repairs in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems on trucks and trailers.
• Complete DOT forms and maintenance documents accurately using an iOS device.
