Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light-to-heavy repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems, road test vehicles, and manage parts on a company service truck with proper documentation on Repair Orders using an iOS device.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED, ASE T8 certification within 18 months, and the ability to work independently with safe driving practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with related field experience preferred.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months or equivalent.
• DOT/FMCSA regulatory compliance knowledge and DOT medical card validity.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light to heavy-duty vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Inspect and road test vehicles to ensure proper operation.
• Manage parts on the service truck and document RO findings.
• Communicate repair estimates and approvals with management.
