Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light-to-medium repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems, with emphasis on safety and on-time service across our nationwide fleet.

The role requires a HS Diploma or equivalent, 3 years in related work, and ASE T8 certification within 18 months. Tools and an iOS-based RO system are used daily to document work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification required within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, repair, and adjust electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems.
• Inspect and test equipment using diagnostic tools and report findings.
• Manage parts inventory and upload RO details and photos via TRAIT on an iOS device.
• Complete DOT forms accurately and on time.
• Maintain compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies.
