Job summary

Cox Fleet in the United States is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance and complex diagnostics in a mobile/field setting. You will work on light to heavy trucks, manage parts and document repairs using TRAIT on an iOS device.

The role emphasizes independent scheduling, safety compliance with DOT/OSHA, and strong customer communication as you support clients across service centers nationwide.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years related experience, or 5 years related experience in lieu of education.
• At least 3 years experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Own a set of hand tools; OEM training and certifications preferred.
• DOT background screening and DOT physical required or DOT medical card acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical/hydraulic/mechanical systems on trucks.
• Inspect, test and diagnose equipment; identify problems and propose solutions.
• Document work and upload photos and notes using company app and RO system.
