Job summary

Cox Automotive Inc. is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems and document work on Repair Orders using an iOS device and TRAIT app.

The role emphasizes independent scheduling, safety compliance with DOT/OSHA, and strong client communication. A New Hire Bonus is offered, with weekly pay and progressive incentives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; related discipline with more education or experience acceptable.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months; DOT/FMCSA regulations compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PM on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling and engine systems with handheld tools and diagnostics.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and document findings using the TRAIT app.
