Job summary

Cox Fleet in the United States is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, light and follow-up repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose electrical, steering, engine, and transmission systems, manage parts on the service truck, document results with the TRAIT app, and adhere to DOT and safety regulations.

Strong tool use and independent scheduling are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years related experience, or 5 years related experience with appropriate certifications.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months; DOT/FMCSA regulations compliance.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass DOT pre-employment screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on mobile/field fleet.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, steering and engine systems.
• Test and road-test vehicles to verify proper operation and safety.
• Manage parts inventory on the service truck and document work in RO using TRAIT app.
• Maintain safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections; communicate with management for approvals.
