Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light-to-medium repairs in a mobile field role. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems and document work on Repair Orders using the TRAIT app.

Requirements include a HS diploma/GED, 3 years’ related experience (or 5 years in related field) and ASE T8 PMI certification within 18 months. DOT safety compliance and valid licensing are mandatory.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 3 years’ related field experience or 5 years in related field.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months and DOT/FMCSA regulatory compliance knowledge.
• Must possess and maintain a set of hand tools necessary for the job.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose, repair, and adjust electrical, mechanical and diesel systems on trucks and trailers.
• Inspect, test, and listen to equipment to diagnose malfunctions using standard tools and instruments.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and proper operation; document findings and RO details.
