Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light to medium repairs in a mobile field setting. You will diagnose, test, and repair electrical, braking, and engine systems while maintaining RO documentation on an iOS TRAIT device.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED, 3+ years in a related field (or 5 years), hand tools, ASE T8 and DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 3 years' related field experience or 5 years' alternate experience.
• Own set of hand tools to perform required duties.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months; DOT regulations compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM and DOT inspections and follow-up repairs in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and hydraulic systems.
• Inspect, test, and road-test vehicles to ensure proper operation; document RO details.
• Manage parts inventory and schedule; communicate with management for approvals on estimates.
• Maintain safety on the road; comply with OSHA/DOT regulations and company policies.
