Job summary

Cox Fleet, a division of Cox Automotive, seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light to medium repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose using handheld tools, manage parts, and document work on RO forms via the TRAIT app.

Requirements include a HS diploma/GED, ASE T8 within 18 months, and a valid DOT/driver's license; interstate operations and safety are emphasized throughout the role.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED; 3 years related field experience or 5 years equivalent.
ASE certification T8 (PMI) within 18 months; DOT and FMCSA requirements.
Valid driver's license and ability to pass DOT pre-employment screening.

Responsibilities

Perform DOT inspections and PMs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical/ braking/cooling systems and engines.
Document work using company tools and manage parts on the service truck.
Road test vehicles and communicate findings to customers and management.
