Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light to mid-range repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, braking, and engine systems while maintaining the service truck and parts inventory.

Qualified candidates will have a HS diploma or GED with relevant experience or higher, ASE T8 certification within 18 months, and a valid driver’s license. Weekly pay, safety gear reimbursement, and career growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years’ related experience, or equivalent with more experience.
• Must possess and supply a set of hand tools to perform duties.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations require successful pre-employment DOT screening and physical.
• DOT medical card is acceptable if valid for 4+ months.
• Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling systems and engine/drivetrain components.
• Inspect, test and diagnose equipment using handheld devices and gauges; road test as needed.
• Maintain and document parts, RO paperwork, and photos on TRAIT/iOS platform.
• Manage daily schedule and parts inventory; communicate with management for approvals.
