Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, PM inspections, and light-to-heavy repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems on trucks and trailers, and road test to verify proper operation.

Qualified candidates have a HS diploma, ASE T8 within 18 months, and own hand tools; 21+ years old with a valid DL and ability to obtain DQF.

Qualifications

• HS diploma/GED with 3 years related experience, or 5 years in related field.
• Own a set of hand tools necessary to perform duties.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical.
• 21+ years old; valid driver's license and ability to obtain DQF.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light–heavy vehicles in mobile field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brakes, cooling and engine systems.
• Road test vehicles and document findings; upload RO data via TRAIT app.
• Manage parts inventory on service truck and obtain needed parts.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT and company safety policies.
