Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light to moderate repairs on a mobile/field fleet. This role requires diagnosing electrical, braking, cooling systems and engine components, while maintaining documentation and customer communication.

The candidate should have a HS diploma (or equivalent), ASE T8 within 18 months, ability to lift heavy components, and valid CDL/driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with related field experience, or equivalent
• Possess and use hand tools required for job duties
• DOT/FMCSA regulatory compliance and safety awareness

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and repairs in mobile/field settings
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and hydraulic systems
• Inspect, test, and document findings; road test to verify repairs
• Manage parts inventory and maintain company vehicle and safety checks
• Coordinate with customers and management for approvals and estimates
• Complete DOT forms and other documentation timely
