Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform licensed DOT and preventative maintenance inspections on light to heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field setting. You’ll diagnose complex issues, conduct on-site repairs, and road-test equipment to ensure reliability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ related field experience or equivalent.
• At least 3 years’ experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Own set of hand tools to perform required duties.
• DOT/FMCSA training and certifications preferred/required within 18 months.
• DOT pre-employment background check and DOT physical may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and inspections on fleets in mobile/field environments.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and diagnose malfunctions.
• Manage parts inventory and reconcile stock on service trucks.
• Document findings and upload repair orders via TRAIT application.
• Communicate with management and customers to provide repair estimates.
