Job summary

Cox Fleet, headquartered in Indianapolis, is a nationwide provider of on-site mobile maintenance and repair services for trucks and trailers. We seek a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and complex repairs in a mobile environment across fleets nationwide.

The role emphasizes diagnostics, advanced mechanical/electrical work, and independent scheduling. Benefits include paid time off, health/dental/vision, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' experience in a related field.
At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM), DOT inspections and follow up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles.
Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and transmission systems.
Inspect, test and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions using instruments.
Road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and ensure proper operation.
Communicate with management and support team to obtain approvals and discuss RO findings notes.
