Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light-to-mid repairs in a mobile/field setting across the fleet. You will diagnose electrical and mechanical systems, manage parts and documentation, and ensure safety and compliance with DOT regulations.

Applicants should have a HS diploma or GED with related experience, ASE T8 certification in time, and a valid driver's license. Competitive weekly pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years related field experience, or 5 years related field experience.
• Own and provide a set of hand tools necessary for job duties.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification to be obtained within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT Inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environments.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and transmission systems on trucks and trailers.
• Inspect, test, and listen to equipment to diagnose malfunctions using handheld tools and gauges.
• Maintain service truck and safety checks, and pre-/post-trip inspections.
