Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, manage parts and tools, and document findings with our TRAIT app.

Prior DOT/ASE readiness and hand-tool ownership are required. Competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent with related field experience.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification to be obtained within 18 months.
• Possess own set of hand tools required for job duties.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations compliance and pre-employment DOT screening.
• 21+ years old with valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PMs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and hydraulic systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and diagnose malfunctions.
• Manage inventory and utilize company-provided service truck and tools.
• Document work on Repair Orders using iOS device and TRAIT app.
