Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light to moderate repairs on trucks and trailers in a mobile/field setting. The role requires tools, ASE certifications, and a valid CDL; candidates must pass DOT checks and maintain safety standards.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 3 years related experience, or 5 years in related field.
• Own a set of hand tools required for job duties.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• Pass DOT pre-employment background and DOT physical per FMCSA rules.
• DOT medical card with >4 months remaining; if <=4 months, DOT physical required.
• Must be 21+ due to interstate commerce rules.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain Driver Qualification File.

Responsabilités

• Perform PM and DOT inspections on light–heavy vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brakes, cooling, and engine systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and diagnose malfunctions.
• Document work on RO using company iOS TRAIT app and upload photos.
• Maintain and manage parts inventory and service truck.
• Coordinate with management for approvals and PO numbers.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA and DOT regulations.
