Job summary

Cox Fleet in the United States is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced repairs on light to heavy-duty trucks and trailers in a mobile/field setting.

You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, manage parts on a company truck, and document work on RO via the TRAIT app. Safety and DOT regulations are emphasized, with training and growth opportunities provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with ≥3 years related field experience.
• At least 3 years experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Own set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations experience or training; able to pass pre-employment checks and DOT physical if required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, cooling, and mechanical systems on trucks and trailers.
• Inspect and test equipment; road test vehicles to verify repairs.
• Manage parts inventory on company service truck and document findings in Repair Orders using TRAIT app.
