Job summary

Cox Fleet seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light-to-heavy repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, braking, cooling systems and more, while maintaining safety and compliance.

Responsibilities include road-testing, inventory management, and completing documentation on RO using TRAIT app. Requires ASE T8 within 18 months and a valid CDL/License.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years' related experience, or 5 years' related field experience.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical required.
• Must have a valid driver's license; 21+ years old; Class C license.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and DOT inspections on light, medium, and heavy vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and hydraulic systems.
• Inspect, test, and listen to equipment to diagnose malfunctions using appropriate instruments.
• Road test vehicles to ensure proper operation and safety.
• Manage parts inventory and document repairs via RO using iOS devices and TRAIT.
• Adhere to safety, health, and environmental policies and DOT regulations.
