Cox Enterprises is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and complex repairs across light to heavy duty trucks in a mobile setting. The role emphasizes independent scheduling, parts management, and effective client communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years’ related field experience or 5 years in related field.
• At least 3 years of refrigerated equipment experience; OEM training preferred.
• Must pass DOT pre-employment screening and DOT medical card rules apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and follow‑up repairs in mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems on trucks.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and document findings on RO using TRAIT app.
• Manage parts inventory and equipment on company service trucks; perform safety checks.
• Communicate with customers and management to obtain approvals and PO numbers.
