Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and routine repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field setting. You’ll diagnose issues, manage parts, and ensure compliance with safety standards while supporting customers nationwide.

Work schedule includes day shifts with a remote-capable role, daily vehicle upkeep, and accurate reporting via company tools. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3+ years in vehicle maintenance.
• Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations and ability to pass screenings.
• Own hand tools; obtain ASE T8 within 18 months.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and meet safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light to medium repairs in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling and engine systems.
• Accurately document work performed and parts used on Repair Orders.
• Maintain service vehicle and conduct pre-/post-trip inspections.
