Job summary

Cox Automotive – USA is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light-to-medium repairs in a mobile field setting. You will work an evening shift with remote feasibility and up to 100% travel, servicing a nationwide fleet.

You must possess strong diagnostic skills for electrical and diesel systems, maintain safety standards, and document work via iOS apps. Competitive hourly pay and incentive opportunities are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with DOT inspections and PMs preferred.
• Ability to diagnose and repair diesel trucks and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling and engine systems on diesel trucks.
• Use handheld tools and diagnostic equipment to identify failures.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and diagnose issues.
• Document work performed and parts used in the TRAIT app and RO system.
