Job summary

Cox Automotive Fleet Services is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II (DOT) to perform licensed inspections, preventive maintenance, and light repairs on client fleets in a mobile field setting. You will diagnose, repair, and ensure compliance with DOT regulations while traveling to customer sites nationwide.

The role requires strong mechanical skills, the ability to manage a daily schedule, and adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

• Licensed DOT inspections and PM inspections required.
• Strong diagnostic skills for electrical/hydraulic/electrical systems.
• Ability to manage inventory and parts in field/mobile environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, transmission, and miscellaneous truck components.
• Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment with diagnostic tools and on-site measurements.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and ensure vehicle safety and reliability.
• Maintain and operate company-issued service vehicle and complete documentation on RO using iOS TRAIT app.
