Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light-to-mid repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems, while maintaining the service truck and coordinating with clients.

The role requires ASE T8 certification within 18 months, a valid DOT card, and a 21+ year-old driver with a clean record. Weekly pay and extensive benefits support career growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or higher with relevant experience.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical.
• DOT medical card acceptable if valid.
• 21+ years old with interstate operating authority.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain Driver Qualification File.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and hydraulic systems.
• Document work and upload RO details via company TRAIT app on an iOS device.
• Maintain and operate the service vehicle, including safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
