Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, brakes, cooling systems, and powertrain components, while documenting work and managing parts inventory.

The role requires a High School Diploma/GED, a hand tool set, and ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months. DOT eligibility and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent with 3 years related experience.
• Own a set of hand tools to perform required duties.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs in a mobile/field environment.
• Inspect and repair truck equipment including electrical, brakes, cooling systems, and powertrain components.
• Diagnose malfunctions using test instruments and road test vehicles.
• Manage parts inventory and company vehicle; obtain approvals for repair estimates.
• Document work and upload photos via company iOS device and TRAIT app.
• Complete DOT forms and other documentation in a timely fashion.
