Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II for a 2nd shift (2 PM - 12 AM) with weekend coverage Friday through Monday in a mobile/field role. You will perform DOT inspections, PMs, and follow-up repairs on trucks and trailers, and diagnose electrical/mechanical issues.

The position requires HS diploma or GED with 3 years in related field (or 5 years) and ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months. DOT and safety compliance are essential, with strong diagnostic and customer service skills valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 3 years in related field, or 5 years in related field.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months of start.
• DOT/FMCSA regulated pre-employment screening and DOT physical required.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM and DOT inspections on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Document findings and parts used on Repair Orders via TRAIT app on iOS.
• Maintain and operate company service truck and safety checks.
• Coordinate with management for repair estimates and purchase orders.
