Job summary

Cox Fleet seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance and light to heavy-duty repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, braking, cooling and engine systems, road test vehicles, and manage parts inventory.

The role requires ASE T8 certification within 18 months, high school diploma or GED, and a valid DOT file; extensive safety and regulatory compliance is emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus relevant field experience.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Preferred ASE drivetrain/brakes/electrical/hvac certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs, DOT inspections and repairs on light to heavy trucks in field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling and engine systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and diagnose issues.
• Manage parts inventory and maintain service vehicle.
• Document work in TRAIT app and Repair Orders with evidence.
