Job summary

Cox Fleet in the United States seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to service fleets on-site. You will perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light-to-mid repairs on heavy-duty trucks in a mobile/field setting.

Qualifications

• Qualified to perform DOT inspections and PMs on light, medium, and heavy trucks.
• Proficient in diagnosing electrical, hydraulic, cooling, and engine systems.
• Able to read and complete DOT forms and Repair Orders on site.
• Must maintain safety and compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs in mobile/field setting.
• Carry out basic diagnostics and repairs on multiple truck systems.
• Inspect, test, and diagnose defective equipment using appropriate tools.
• Road test vehicles to confirm proper operation after service.
• Document work and parts used on RO using company iOS app and TRAIT.
• Coordinate with management for repair estimates and approvals.
