Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to service light to heavy-duty trucks and trailers at customer sites across the service network. You will perform PMs, inspections, and various repairs in a mobile/field setting, ensuring safety and compliance with DOT standards.

The role requires ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months, adherence to DOT regulations, and effective communication with clients. Weekly pay and benefits support your career growth with Cox Fleet.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; relevant discipline experience accepted.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months is required.
• DOT/FMCSA pre-employment screening and DOT physical may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems on trucks.
• Road test vehicles to ensure proper operation after service.
• Maintain and manage parts inventory and company vehicle inspections.
• Document RO findings, parts used, and photos using company tools.
• Work with customers to assess needs and provide accurate repair estimates.
