Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light-to-heavy repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose varying systems, manage parts and documentation, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or equivalent and 3 years of related field experience (or 5 years).
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA regulatory compliance and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PMs on light to heavy vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Inspect, test, and diagnose faults using specialized tools and instruments.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and performance.
• Maintain service truck, inventory, and documentation per RO procedures.
