Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs in a field/mobile setting across a nationwide service network. The role emphasizes diagnostics, safety, and customer service as you work with senior technicians.

The ideal candidate has a HS diploma/GED, 3 years in a related field (or 5 years equivalent), and ASE T8 certification within 18 months, plus a valid DOT medical card and a class A/B license as required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with related field experience.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification to be obtained within 18 months.
• DOT regulations compliance and safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on mobile fleet.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Inspect vehicles and test to ensure proper operation after work.
• Maintain service vehicle and inventory, document RO details via TRAIT app.
• Coordinate with management for approvals on estimates and PO numbers.
• Adhere to safety, OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
