Job summary

Cox Fleet, a Cox Automotive company, is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs in a mobile/field setting across our nationwide service network.

You will diagnose and repair electrical, Diesel systems, and mechanical components, maintain the service truck, and document work using our TRAIT app on an iOS device. A HS diploma and DOT/ASE certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and related field experience or equivalent.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations compliance and pre-employment background screening.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain Driver Qualification File.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs in mobile/field environments.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and fuel systems on trucks.
• Inspect, test, and road-test vehicles to ensure proper operation.
• Manage parts inventory and document findings on RO using mobile devices.
• Obtain parts from approved vendors and communicate estimates with management.
• Comply with OSHA, EPA, and DOT safety policies.
