Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems and document RO details using TRAIT on an iOS device.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED, 3 years in a related field (or 5 years experience), and the ability to obtain ASE T8 within 18 months. Valid driver's license and DOT compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or higher; 3 years related field experience or 5 years related field experience.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• DOT-related pre-employment background screening and DOT physical required.
• Must be 21+ years old with valid driver's license and ability to operate interstate.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light/medium/heavy vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Carry out basic repairs and diagnostics on electrical, brake, cooling, engine, and transmission systems.
• Document findings, parts used, and RO details using TRAIT app on an iOS device.
• Manage parts inventory on service truck and communicate with management for approvals.
• Maintain safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections of the service vehicle.
