Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and on-site repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile environment.

The role requires diagnosing electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues, managing parts on the service truck, and documenting work using the TRAIT app on an iOS device. Strong safety and DOT compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent with related field experience.
• At least 3 years in a related field; DOT/FMVSA compliance familiarity.
• Experience with refrigerated equipment preferred.
• Must supply a set of hand tools; ASE certifications encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs in mobile field env.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems on trucks.
• On-site testing, road testing, and triage of complex repairs for on-site directors.
• Manage parts inventory on the service truck and document RO findings via TRAIT.
