Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light to moderate repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will work with a Sr Tech, maintain service trucks, and document findings using the TRAIT app.

We require an HS diploma/GED, 3 years of related experience or 5 years alternative, ASE T8 within 18 months, and a valid DOT medical card and driver's license. Weekly pay, benefits, and a clear career path are offered.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 3 years' related field experience, or 5 years' related field experience.
• Own set of hand tools to perform required duties.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Able to pass DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical.
• Valid DOT medical card or eligible for DOT physical; 21+ years old.
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to obtain Driver Qualification File.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on various vehicle classes in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine and transmission systems.
• Inspect, test, and diagnose equipment using tools and handheld devices.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and performance.
• Maintain and organize parts inventory on service truck and document RO findings.
• Communicate with management to obtain approvals and with customers to assess needs.
