Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician I to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs in a field/mobile setting. You will work under supervision, with opportunities to learn advanced mechanical skills while delivering high-quality service to clients.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED and up to 2 years of related experience, plus your own hand tools. DOT requirements and safety compliance are essential, with growth paths through ASE certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and up to 2 years’ experience in a related field.
• Own set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties.
• DOT/FMCSA-related pre-employment requirements including DOT medical card.
• OEM training and certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field setting.
• Handle minor adjustments and repairs on electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Maintain and reconcile parts inventory and use of company-issued service truck.
