Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician I to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic repairs in a mobile/field setting for light to heavy-duty trucks and trailers. You will work independently, manage your daily schedule, and document findings using our TRAIT app on an iOS device.

Required is a High School Diploma or GED with up to 2 years of related experience; DOT compliance and safety training are essential, with ASE certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• DOT inspections and preventative maintenance on trucks required.
• Light to heavy-duty vehicle repairs and diagnostics.
• Welding experience and ability to operate shop tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM and DOT inspections on fleet vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Perform minor adjustments and repairs on electrical, braking, cooling systems.
• Manage parts inventory and operate company service vehicle.
• Document RO findings using TRAIT on iOS device.
• Complete DOT forms and maintain safety checks.
