Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician I to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will support senior techs, manage basic paperwork, and operate company tools and a TRAIT app on an iOS device.

Requirements include a High School diploma/GED, a valid driver’s license, DOT medical card or ability to obtain one, and the ability to pass a DOT background check. Safety and timely service are emphasized.

Qualifications

• DOT inspections and PMs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Must be able to pass a DOT background screen and DOT physical.
• A valid DOT medical card or ability to obtain one.
• Interstate commerce regulations require candidate to be 21+ years old.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Carry out minor repairs and assist higher-level technicians in repairs.
• Manage parts inventory and company-issued service truck.
• Document work and upload RO photos using company apps.
• Maintain vehicle safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
