Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections, PMs, and light to medium heavy‑duty repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose, repair, and support trucks and trailers, using hand tools and diesel equipment, while maintaining safety standards and DOT compliance.

You must have a HS diploma or GED with relevant experience and ASE T8 certification within 18 months; candidates with additional ASE certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 3 years' related field experience or 5 years alternative.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass DOT background.
• Must supply hand tools for duties.
• Ace T8 (PMI) ASE certification within 18 months.
• DOT medical card or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM and DOT inspections on vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Inspect, test, and road-test vehicles to verify repairs.
• Manage parts inventory and service truck operations.
• Document work and upload RO photos using TRAIT app.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, EPA policies.
